TIME FIELD

Ulsan “Time field” Existence of Time 2022
8 x 16 x 2.5 meters
used clocks, cut mirror, steel poles
The study of Ulsan’s timeline let us understand the history of the city and be inspired by
the relationship between Man and Nature in Ulsan.
So I would like to propose a site specific installation to provide a space for people to slow
down and reconnect with nature and provoke people’s consciousness about surrounding
nature.

“Time field” would invite people to be a part of the work and interact with it.
In today's fast-paced world, this work would ask people to slow down and make a
connection with the changing nature around them; Sun, Light ...
The work would invite people to experience the changing of one’s surrounding in
relation to time and space; from sunrise to sunset, from the relationship between
Man and Nature in the prehistoric to the digital era.

“Time is basically an illusion created by the mind to aid in our sense of temporal presence in the vast ocean of
space. Without the neurons to create a virtual perception of the past and the future based on all our experiences,
there is no actual existence of the past and the future. All that there is, is the present.”
